I was curious how the Data storage usage is calculated, I have 2 collections and when I export these the total size of the JSON is 16KB but on my Dashboard it says I am using 125KB of storage. Am I missing something?

Hello Michael,
There is meta-data associated with every collection. That meta-data size/overhead varies based upon the nature of the collection and the data. The total data in the Kinvey database will always be somewhat larger than the actual data that is exported. The difference/overhead is greater (or a higher percentage) for smaller sized collections than collections that have a lot of data.
We hope this helps. Please let us know if you have further questions.
Did you also export user collection while calculating the data storage usage?
Just to confirm - do you have any files stored in file storage?
I will discuss your problem with my senior and get back to you with an answer asap.
Thanks, Pranav Kinvey
