I've tried to use versions 3.0.1, 3.0.0, and 2.10.4, to no avail. Please let me know if there's a workaround for this problem, since this is definitely a blocker and if it persists, may lead us to leave Kinvey to favor other mBaaS solutions.

Mentha,
Yes, we have updated 'Getting Started' documentation as the earlier one was little misleading. We are glad that you are able to load Kinvey SDK successfully now.
As you are development plan customer, Kinvey forum is the only channel available to you for reporting bugs/enhancements. If we are able to reproduce it then that will be escalated to engineering. Check 'Basic Support' information on this link.
I'm using Android Studio 2.3.3 and Gradle 3.3. I went through the steps again and notice the Getting Started instructions changed with respect to where the flatDir command was placed (Project's gradle file as opposed to the Module's). After doing that, the Kinvey SDK was successfully found.
As a side note, what's the process/channel for reporting bugs and requesting enhancements to the SDK?
Thanks for the help,
Mentha

Hello Mentha,
Thank you for reporting this problem. We will work with you aggressively to resolve this issue.
What version of Android Studio are you using?
I know that you followed the steps in the getting-started guide. Would you mine listing each step that you took in your own words so that we can check for any subtle differences there might be between the steps you took and what is identified in the guide.
I will check verify that the steps in the guide are current and correct and get back with you as soon as I can.

I'm following the instructions to add the Kinvey SDK to my Android app (http://devcenter.kinvey.com/android/guides/getting-started), but I keep getting the following error:

Hey Mentha,
Can you please take a look at this?
Let me know if you still get any errors so that I will escalate it to engineering once again.
Thanks,
Pranav
