How do I search by ID?

Under Datastore-users I want to search by someone's user is (52b4e1744b745ee12dbd953e) and I can't!! I type in _id into the search box with the person's id, and nothing shows up. I tried IDs that are definitely there and present, and they did not show up. Is it underscore id so do I type _id when it asks me for the column? Also, the first_name search doesn't work either. What can I do?
